This spring is used on the seat bar at the rear of the cab and is the problem if the bar will not stay up by itself. This is not a Volvo spring; however we have been selling these to our customers and they have not failed. The part numbers in the Scat Trak parts book are 8700124 and 11850471. There are 2 used on each machine, but usually only 1 will break at a time.
It is used on Scat Trak 1300D, 1500D, 1750D, 2000D and 2300D. Also used on Volvo MC60, MC70, MC80, MC90 and MC110.
