In 1968 CASE acquired the Universal Loader Company. That led to the introduction of the CASE 1526, 1532 and the 1537 in 1969. With the introduction of these machines came another name for the skid steer loader, the Uni-Loader. Though never gaining the universal labeling of all skid steers that the Bobcat brand enjoyed, there are many who still refer to the CASE skid steer loaders as Uni-Loaders. Following the initial 1500 series Case continued to set the standard with the 1700, 1800, 1800B & 1800C series, with the 100,000th skid loader, an 1800 series, being built in 2000. Just a short 10 years later, total production of CASE loaders had reached 250,000.
CASE continues its legacy of offering innovations to the marketplace. For instance, recently the SR270 skid steer became the first Tier 4 Final skid steer in the industry to incorporate selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology. SCR engine technology uses diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), helping make the Case SR270 one of the cleanest burning skid steers available. The SR270 CASE loader also happens to be the largest radial-lift skid steer available. With a rated operating capacity of 2,700 lbs at 90 hp, a standard auxiliary hydraulic flow rate of 24.2 gallons per minute and an operating weight of 8,117 lbs, this loader will be ready to give its all for years to come.
